The Amazing Son in Law/

Chapter - 6018

Chapter 6018

As private islands and rap artist parties gained worldwide popularity in the United States, almost all celebrities found themselves under suspicion from the American public. This certainly included the Rothschild family. However, the Rothschilds never addressed these rumors, leaving people to speculate freely. Naturally, Hank wanted to avoid any trouble for himself and save face for Steve, so he could only smile and say, "Mr. Rothschild, please don't take offense. We are just a group of aimless playboys who have long resigned ourselves to a life of leisure. Compared to you, Mr. Rothschild, we are truly insignificant." Steve replied dismissively, "I suggest you stop talking nonsense. If you intend to go to Heaven Springs tonight, you must first settle the bill for the two days' meals: 20 million per person. Whoever shows up needs to pay. I'll have someone provide you with an account for the transfer. How you converse with Mr. Wade during dinner is your own business. I won't pry." “Okay, okay!” Hank agreed immediately. While he wouldn't have been pleased to cough up a billion dollars right now, he could go along with paying the 20 million initially to gauge the situation. After saying his thanks and hanging up the phone, Hank cursed darkly: “I really don’t understand why the Rothschild heir would associate with someone Chinese to establish a justice fund. Is he unwell?” Angel asked, “What should we do now?” Hank replied, “Everyone put in 20 million for now and let’s see what Mr. Wade says at dinner tonight. If he just wants money and can help us return to how we were before, then it doesn’t matter if he demands more.” One person chimed in, “Mr. Wade always prefers us to remain somewhat normal. Isn’t this a bit too much?” Hank waved his hand dismissively, saying, “Don’t overthink it; we can discuss it more once we meet in the evening.” ... By noon, each individual had transferred 20 million dollars to Don Albert’s account. According to Charlie’s plan, this money was intended for Don Albert to develop Heaven Springs. The arrival of the funds indicated that these individuals were indeed coming to Heaven Springs for dinner that evening. Charlie called Tawanna and said cheerfully, “Tawanna, remember to come to Heaven Springs after the performance tonight. Those folks wanted to celebrate your success yesterday.” Tawanna, unaware of what had transpired the previous day, asked in surprise, “Mr. Wade, didn’t they reject your proposal yesterday? Why are they attending today?” Charlie smiled slightly and replied, “You’ll find out when you arrive tonight.” Tawanna mentioned, “Mr. Wade, Trevor is leaving tonight, so he might not join us for dinner at Heaven Springs.” “Okay,” Charlie said nonchalantly. Trevor’s presence wouldn’t impact the evening’s dinner. In the afternoon, Claire, who was still feeling a bit unsatisfied after the concert experience yesterday, managed to carve out some time to come back to the performance venue. Knowing that Charlie would be there throughout the event, she thought it would be nice to watch the show with her husband and go home together afterward. Today’s concert was just as packed as the previous one. Thanks to yesterday’s practical experience, the staff coordinated much better today, maintaining an orderly atmosphere and a consistently high performance quality. After the show, Charlie dropped Claire off at home before heading back to Heaven Springs again.

Claire didn’t think much of it. To her, her husband was now part of Tawanna’s team, and it was probably just a dinner to review the work with them. Upon arriving at Heaven Springs, Charlie found that Tawanna had already arrived. The group of over a dozen people was on edge as they noticed Charlie entering the venue. Seeing their tense appearances, Charlie asked curiously, “What’s wrong? You all seem less lively than last night?” As the group's representative, Hank wasted no time and bluntly said, “Mr. Wade, I’m not sure what you did to us, but we each became impotent last night. Did you poison us?” “Poison?” Charlie smirked and replied, “It’s colorless, tasteless, painless, and capable of taking away your male abilities. Have you ever encountered such a wondrous poison?” Hank frowned and pressed, “So you’re saying you won’t take responsibility?” “No, no, no,” Charlie gestured calmly, “It is indeed my fault that you lost your functions, but I assure you, it’s not poison; it’s far more advanced than that. As long as I choose not to be merciful, none of you will experience being a man again in your lifetime.” Hank, overcome with anxiety and anger, challenged him, “Mr. Wade, aren’t you going a bit too far? We believe we haven’t offended you at all; why are you targeting us like this?” Charlie replied without reservation, “Because I simply don’t like you. Just as you enjoy playing with little girls, I enjoy dealing with people like you. What’s the issue?” “You…” Hank was taken aback by Charlie’s candidness. Realizing that direct confrontation was futile, he asked, “Mr. Wade, let’s be straightforward. Just tell us how much money you want, and we’ll pay it, right?” Charlie returned the question, “Didn’t I inform you yesterday? Are you suffering from a poor memory or unable to hear?” “Is it one hundred million dollars?!” Hank seethed, “If that’s all you want, we’ll pay it for the sake of you and Mr. Rothschild, but if it’s meant to set up a fund to target us, how can we possibly agree?” Charlie smiled and said, “You’re mistaken. One hundred million dollars was the price yesterday. Today, it’s one billion dollars. Those who can afford it may continue being men. Those who can’t should forget about being men for the rest of their lives.” Charlie sighed and added, “Honestly, I’d be fine with you spending that much money. It’s unnecessary, you know? You’ve spent a lifetime playing with others; you must have had your fill. Take this chance to lie back and let others play with you in the future. Isn’t that a good deal? This way, you save one billion dollars.” Hank’s eyes widened as he exclaimed, “Mr. Wade, we might be perverts, but we’re not gay!” Charlie shrugged, raising his hands innocently, “Then I can’t help you. Why not consider changing your ways? How can you know if you don’t try?” As he spoke, Charlie turned to Steve with a smile, “Steve, don’t these individuals enjoy playing on an island? How about this: you help them build an island, find some strong individuals who like to engage with their type, and let them enjoy being played with at no cost. What do you think?” The group had already turned pale with fear. Hank gulped and protested, “You... you can’t do this!” Charlie smiled and responded, “Don’t worry; I have my methods to make you willingly embrace being played with. If you don’t believe me, you’re welcome to test it out.”
