Chapter - 6039

In the early morning, Charlie drove a discreet business car away from the Wade family home towards the airport.

Stefanie was returning on a private plane, and her travel plans were not known to the outside world.

At dawn, the plane touched down, and Charlie waited outside the VIP building. Soon after, several well-trained men and women clad in black arrived, swiftly escorting a figure wearing a baseball cap and mask towards him.

Charlie rolled down the passenger side window, and Stefanie immediately spotted him. She took a few steps forward and ran to him.

Though she was bundled up tightly, with only her large eyes visible, Charlie could still see the joy and excitement radiating from her brow.

A female bodyguard from the Sun family quickly approached and opened the passenger door.

Stefanie hopped in right away, looking at Charlie with delight. "Charlie, how long have you been here?" she asked sweetly.

Charlie smiled gently. "I just arrived a little while ago."

Stefanie quickly closed the door and window, turning to Charlie. "Let's head home directly. My parents are waiting for us."

Charlie inquired, "Did Uncle Orrin and Aunt Angie get up this early?"

Stefanie smiled back, "They don't usually get up this early, but today is special because we’re coming home!"

"I understand," Charlie replied.

Nodding, Charlie exited the airport and drove towards the Sun family residence.

By this time, the sun was just peeking above the horizon, and traffic in Eastcliff was flowing smoothly. It took them less than 40 minutes to arrive at the Sun family mansion.

Orrin and Angie came out to greet them. As Charlie parked the car and stepped out with Stefanie, the couple beamed with happiness.

Orrin had not seen Charlie and Stefanie for some time. Since his daughter had been abroad, he missed her dearly.

Now, seeing the two return together made him feel as though his daughter was coming home with her husband after marriage.

He thought to himself that if they truly married in the future, it would bring him great joy to see them return home often.

Feeling a bit anxious and embarrassed after his conversation with his grandfather yesterday, Charlie approached the couple somewhat awkwardly. "Hello, Uncle Orrin and Aunt Angie."

Orrin had always considered him like a son. He patted Charlie on the shoulder, providing reassurance. "Your Aunt Angie and I were just talking a few days ago about when you would come home, but I didn't expect it to be as soon as you wished!"

Angie lovingly caressed Stefanie's face before turning to Charlie with a smile. "Charlie, you don't know how much your Uncle Orrin talks about you—more than he talks about Stefanie."

Orrin chuckled. "Stefanie is out performing, and I mostly worry about her. But with Charlie, he faces competition from all sorts of enemies, both overt and covert. There are many risks involved. As an elder, I can't help but be concerned."

He took Charlie's arm and smiled, "Let’s head inside and talk. I have a lot of questions for you."

Despite his nerves, Charlie could only muster the courage to follow him into the house.

Once inside, Orrin gestured for him to sit on the sofa. The living room at the Sun family home had seating arranged in a U-shape: Orrin and Charlie sat on one side, while Angie and Stefanie occupied the opposite side.

With a concerned look, Orrin turned to Charlie and asked, "How have you been lately?"

Charlie understood that Orrin was inquiring about the Warriors Den, so he replied, "Overall, there is still some new progress. I recently took down one of their bases in Africa."

"That’s great!" Orrin exclaimed with excitement. "As long as we keep making strides, no matter how strong they are, we'll catch up to them or even surpass them!"

Charlie let out a sigh. "It might not be that simple moving forward. During my time in Africa, I discovered they were implementing an internal blood exchange plan, planning to break up the dead soldiers they control to threaten loyalty to the Warriors Den. It's unlikely we can convince their base to surrender unless we resort to major violence. Those soldiers are indeed unfortunate; even if they’re stained with innocent blood, their families and children are blameless."

Hearing this, Orrin couldn't help but sigh. "If you can't persuade them to surrender and killing is the only option, that could lead to more complications in the future."

Charlie nodded. "That's true. So, after this trip, I’m adjusting my strategy. For now, I’ll rely on AI models to establish control across the globe, gathering more intelligence before making any concrete plans."

Orrin agreed. He had previously encouraged Stefanie to bear a child for Charlie because he was concerned that Charlie's quest for revenge might be prolonged.

Knowing Charlie's personality, Orrin figured that if Warriors Den were dismantled, Charlie would not have the bandwidth to focus on family life. In that case, the three-year agreement they made would fall apart.

When they signed the three-year agreement, neither had knowledge of the secrets surrounding the Warriors Den. At the time, Orrin wanted to give Charlie three years to resolve his turbulent relationship with Claire. Once that was settled, Charlie could marry his daughter, serving as the rightful heir of the Wade family.

Later, upon discovering the threats posed by the Warriors Den, Orrin understood that there was also deep-rooted hatred involved. Recognizing his limitations in helping Charlie eliminate the Warriors Den, he chose not to bring up the three-year agreement again.

He contemplated waiting until Charlie felt secure enough to eradicate the Warriors Den before resuming discussions about a date.

However, he also understood the inherent dangers. Worried about unexpected incidents befalling Charlie, he wished for his daughter to give birth to a child with him first.

Initially, he thought it inconceivable for a father to harbor such a notion.

But upon tentatively speaking with his wife, he was surprised to learn she strongly supported the idea.

The Sun family's current success was largely due to Bruce's past support; Orrin's longevity was thanks to Charlie's rejuvenation pill.

Stefanie had held feelings for Charlie for many years without regret.

Angie also believed it was time for the Sun family to take the initiative.

They reached a mutual understanding, and Orrin entrusted the task of persuading their daughter to his wife, Angie.

Angie later had a video call with Stefanie. When she vaguely mentioned Orrin's concerns about Charlie facing unforeseen circumstances and potentially cutting off Bruce and Lily's bloodline, Stefanie readily responded, "I'm planning to leave the entertainment industry. If Charlie is willing, I can have a child for him first. If he’s not ready for that kind of connection, I'm fine with IVF!"

Angie was taken aback by her daughter's casual attitude toward such an important matter.

She knew that Stefanie had remained single-mindedly devoted to Charlie over the years, keeping herself pure for him. Although she was now in her twenties, she was still in excellent condition, making it hard for Angie to accept the idea. "With your perfect state, how could you resort to IVF? Charlie may not be able to formalize your relationship just yet, but as a man, he must give you all the ceremonies that are due!"
