Chapter 6116

In the bar, the leader of the men in black was reluctant to follow through and chose to wait for the signal to take action. His gaze drifted toward Tawanna multiple times, and seeing her tall, well-proportioned figure awakened dark thoughts within him. Originally, today he had planned to orchestrate a terrifying incident that would astound the world, fully aware that he didn’t need to suppress his baser instincts at all. Approaching Tawanna with a smile, he said, “Miss Sweet, I didn’t expect to see you here. You are truly my idol and a goddess in my eyes. I have admired you for a long time.” Tawanna replied, her voice trembling, “Then... can you let me go? I’m just here on vacation and don’t want to die here...” The leader in black scanned Tawanna with a lingering gaze, and with a sinister smile, he said, “Miss Sweet, I must tell you that we are planning a terrorist attack today. For me, the more chaos the better. And with you, the big star, here, how could I let such an opportunity slip away?” Tawanna felt a chill run down her spine upon hearing this; she nervously stammered, “If you want money, I can give you all I have. Please, I beg you not to hurt me...” The leader in black grinned lewdly, saying, “Miss Sweet, you certainly wear your feelings openly. I wonder if you would be interested in a live, explicit show for the world once the internet is back up?” Tawanna shook her head vigorously in fear, tears streaming down her cheeks as she cried, “Please, don’t do that to me! I don’t want the last memory of me for the person I love to be that horrifying sight…” At that moment, Tawanna realized that she and those around her were not going to survive the night. These people were not mere bandits or pirates; they were terrorists! It was impossible for anyone to escape from the clutches of such individuals. What terrified her now was not death itself, but the dread of the monster before her truly defiling her on a global stage. If Charlie were to see her like that, she would never find peace, even in death! Upon hearing her mention her beloved, the leader of the men in black sneered with contempt: “You don’t want others to see your humiliation, but I want everyone in the world to witness it. I want them to see how I will break you down, piece by piece, until you draw your last breath!” His expression morphed into something grotesque as he cruelly continued, “Not only that, I want everyone to watch me end your life. I want them to witness their idol—their goddess—being destroyed bit by bit under my hands!” Tawanna locked eyes with him and shouted defiantly, “You are a monster! A despicable monster!” The leader of the men in black laughed in response, “You’re absolutely right, I am a monster! If you fall into my hands, I will ensure you suffer beyond imagination before you meet your end!” With that, he suddenly raised an eyebrow and smirked. “Miss Sweet, I feel rather enthusiastic about this. There’s really no need to wait for the internet to come back. Let’s familiarize ourselves in front of everyone first, so that my grand debut can be even more thrilling!” Overwhelmed with fear, Tawanna wished she could disappear. Her parents, nearly collapsing in despair, rushed forward to protect their daughter but were forcefully pushed back by several armed men.

The leader in black barked, “From now on, anyone who makes a move will be shot on the spot!” Tawanna's parents, paralyzed with fear, could only huddle together and weep quietly. Despair washed over Tawanna. She understood that she and her parents had no chance of leaving this place alive. Last time in Tokyo, Charlie had saved her, but she knew such a miracle wouldn’t repeat itself in the Maldives. At that moment, the leader’s patience wore thin. He grabbed Tawanna by her collar and said coldly, “Now, let’s see what it feels like to toy with an international superstar!” He started to rip Tawanna’s shirt away just as a series of electrical sounds and static emerged from the communicator in his ear, as if someone had pressed the call button but didn’t speak. He quickly released the button. Furrowing his brow, he realized a team member was trying to reach him, but the signal was distorted. Teams 1, 2, and 3 were stationed outside, and the only person able to venture far was the one sent to repair the signal. He pulled out his cell phone to check. He waited patiently for the signal strength indicator to appear in the top right corner, but after some time, nothing changed. Annoyed, he pressed the communication button and said coldly, “Mr. Phillips, why hasn't the signal been restored yet?! I love to put on a good show for the world!” Silence greeted him through the communicator. His brows knitted together in unease as he felt a knot of anxiety forming in his chest. The one he had hired was the captain whose arms had been severed by Charlie and whose throat had been slit. He had worked with Vex for many years; the man was always dependable and reliable, never losing contact during missions. Even the slightest delay in response was unusual for him. Whenever he called, Vex would respond without hesitation. The lack of a prompt reply from the walkie-talkie filled him with immediate alarm. He quickly stood up, pressing the walkie-talkie as he moved toward the exit: “Team One, go find Vex and find out what’s happening! Why isn’t anyone replying?” He expected to hear a response from the team, but instead was met with eerie silence over the communicator. His heart raced, and he halted, apprehensive. Suppressing his rising fear, he pressed the call button again: “Team 2 and 3, please respond!” Teams 2 and 3 were among those stationed outside as well. Including the first team, there were a total of thirty individuals. However, he never imagined that all thirty would fail to respond! At that moment, only six members from Team 4 remained by his side. Team leader Vex and three soldiers who had ventured out were completely unreachable. A shiver of dread ran through him, and he whispered to the man in black beside him, “Go outside and see what’s happening.” The identified man in black felt a wave of trepidation but dared not disobey. He steeled himself and stepped out of the bar, weapon in hand. As he reached the door, he suddenly froze, halting in his tracks. Seeing him stop, the leader shouted from behind, “What are you doing?! Go check what’s out there!” As soon as he finished speaking, the man’s head abruptly fell from his shoulders, rolling to the feet of the leader!
