Chapter 6117

The tourists in the bar, who were under control, were also terrified. A living person approached the door only to have their head roll to the floor—an unbelievable sight! The leader, struck by fear, turned pale. He instinctively took a few steps back and shouted, “Quickly! There are enemies coming!” The remaining militants felt an immediate wave of anxiety. They aimed their guns at the door, ready for an onslaught from outside. The leader was in complete disarray. With all three teams outside, he had only sent a few members from the fourth team to handle the situation. If things went awry, he might not make it out alive... Realizing this, he aimed his weapon at Tawanna and shouted, “Who the hell is it?! Get out of here now! If you don’t, I’ll shoot her!” Then he turned to his subordinates, barking, “Don’t point your guns at the door—aim at the hostages around him! If I say shoot, kill everyone!” The hostages burst into terrified screams at his words. The leader of the black-clad men was about to yell at them when he suddenly noticed that the hostages had all lost consciousness at once—they had fainted. He and his men were momentarily stunned, wondering if the hostages had planned this deception, but quickly realized that it was impossible for them to coordinate such an act so closely monitored. Was it possible that they all fainted at the mention of a gun being aimed at them? But that seemed too coincidental! The confused leader noticed that not all the hostages were unresponsive. Three people remained aware: Tawanna, Hamid, and the wealthy Bernard Arnault. He stared at them in bewilderment and asked, “Why are you three still conscious?!” Tawanna, confused as to why her parents had lost consciousness while she hadn’t, replied, “I... I don’t know...” The man in black glared at Hamid and, through gritted teeth, asked, “Hamid, since you’re still awake, tell me—are you involved in this?!” Hamid, puzzled but calm, responded with surprise, “Who are you? How do you know my real name?” The leader spat angrily, “I won’t hide it anymore. Our mission is to kill you! You, the so-called emperor of the Middle East, thought you could vacation here? Now look at the mess we’re in. I’d relish shooting you right here!” A subordinate chimed in, “Boss, why wait? Just kill Hamid—who cares about that girl? If we take him out, we’ve half accomplished our mission!” The leader shot back coldly, “I don’t need lessons from you on how to do my job! There are unknown enemies outside that we can’t fully understand. We must keep these hostages alive to ensure our own survival!” This leader had come for profit, not sacrifice. Despite the vast scale of the Blackwater Company and a wealth of mercenaries, loyalty was a foreign concept. All of them put their lives on the line for money, not to become “martyrs” for the company. At this moment, the leader no longer cared about completing the mission; he cared only about leaving alive. If he killed Hamid, he would lose a crucial bargaining chip—he wouldn’t allow such a blunder. He then turned his gun towards Bernard Arnault and asked sternly, “And you? What’s wrong with you? Why aren’t you comatose?!”

Bernard Arnault looked nervously around, hesitating as he answered, “I... I don’t know what’s happening...” The leader aimed his gun at the woman lying unconscious by Bernard's side—his wife. He snapped, “You don’t know, huh? Fine! I’ll shoot your wife and see if you’re just pretending!” Without a moment's hesitation, he pulled the trigger. Suddenly, a cold voice came from outside the entrance: “What’s the point of threatening the old, weak, women, and children?” The black-clad leader instinctively turned to see a young man walking in slowly through the door. Dressed in a short-sleeved shirt and shorts with a coconut tree design, he wore flip-flops and a disdainful grin. Upon seeing him, Tawanna felt as if a god had descended. She gasped in disbelief, “Mr. Wade... Is that really you, Mr. Wade?” Tears brimmed in her eyes, blurring her vision of Charlie. Hamid was so overjoyed he nearly jumped with excitement, exclaiming, “Brother Wade, you finally made it! These thugs are trying to assassinate me, claiming to be from the Dragon Temple. I suspect they’re targeting both me and the Dragon Temple!” Bernard Arnault also recognized Charlie at that moment. Though he didn’t know Charlie's true identity, he vividly remembered his face and harbored deep resentment towards him, as he was the one who brought Zachary to force him into purchasing hundreds of millions of dollars worth of worthless art during the Rejuvenation Pill auction! He never imagined he would encounter this young man on his island! Moreover, it seemed that Tawanna knew him as well! Reflecting on the sudden turn of events that had sent the terrorists into chaos, he realized Charlie might be the key to changing the situation, so he hurriedly said, “Mr. Wade... Mr. Wade, it’s been a long time!” Charlie smiled slightly and replied, “Mr. Arnault, it has indeed been a while. By the way, are you aware that the luxury goods stores under your brand are still engaging in distribution sales lately?” Bernard Arnault shifted his eyes awkwardly, at a loss for words. Goods need to be distributed. The profits of his luxury brand came from distribution. Although he had suffered a significant loss due to the distribution from the last Rejuvenation Pill purchase, he couldn’t afford to cut off his financial avenues. On the contrary, he needed to ramp up his distribution to recover the money lost. So he shyly said to Charlie, “I’m not sure if the goods are worth it. But Mr. Wade, don't worry—whatever products you want from our group, you can enjoy free ordering!” Charlie quipped, “How generous of you. If I take something from your store and don’t pay, you might not sleep at all for three days and nights, right?” Bernard Arnault felt too embarrassed to respond. The leader in black, caught off guard by Charlie's casual conversation with the hostages, aimed his gun at him and demanded, “Who are you? What did you do to my men outside?!” Charlie smirked, “I've taken care of your men. Their bodies are stacked up outside.” The black-clad leader stared wide-eyed, incredulous. “That can’t be possible! They’re all well-trained mercenaries! How could you take them down silently?!”
