Ella inwardly took note of their decisions. She was no pushover. She would remember those who chose not to take her side.

Philip stood at the door with Preston, waiting to enter. He could have entered the venue earlier, but Preston said that a person of high status did not have to enter so quickly.

Although Philip wanted to keep a low profile, he did not want to disapprove of Preston's suggestion. Indeed, a reclusive family had to display their dignity.

Some people lingered at the door without entering the venue too. They glanced at the female attendants from time to time, their minds racing.

As Ella walked over with her friend Tania, everyone smiled at them lecherously.

"Here they come. It's the goddess I've been keeping my eye on. She must be here for me!"

As they chattered excitedly, Ella went up to Philip.

"Are you Philip Clarke?" Ella smiled brightly, looking very gentle.

"Who are you?" Philip frowned, not knowing who she was.

Philip thought about it carefully and did not recognize the two female attendants in front of him. Although he had a photographic memory far superior to that of ordinary people, Philip would not remember unimportant people or things in life.

Seeing Philip's confused expression, Ella immediately confirmed his identity.

When she confessed her feelings to Philip back then, he had said the same words and showed the same confused look. This reaction of Philip hurt Ella terribly. After all she had done for Philip, he did not even know who she was.

"I'm Ella... Don't you remember me?" Ella said with a smile, seemingly unconcerned that Philip did not remember her.

Philip finally had an impression of the other party.

She seemed to be the girlfriend of his class monitor when they were in school.

He was not interested in anything back then, only focused on his studies. He did not even remember all his classmates. He only remembered her because the class monitor found a girlfriend named Ella.

By right, this matter should not concern him at all, but this guy's girlfriend confessed to him. The class monitor targeted Philip for three years because of this.

"We probably didn't know each other very well," Philip said flatly with no intention of paying her any more attention.

Hearing that, Ella was furious at Philip's aloof reaction.

Philip did not have a good impression of Ella. Besides, she always liked to badmouth him. However, everything was in the past, and Philip had no intention of holding a grudge against her.
