Chapter - 4979

"Hey, you're finally awake. Some bad guys kidnapped us. They probably want to do something for our family members. I think you're a practitioner. Can you take me away with you?"

Martha felt very excited to see this groggy man. She felt that she could escape this place with his help.

People from the Pill Guild were out on their missions, leaving very few people in the cave. If this guy was a practitioner, he should be able to defeat other practitioners and they could escape.

Martha shed tears of joy at the thought of leaving this place.

Skeeter scowled at Martha's remarks. He thought she was a practitioner in the same plight as him, but she turned out to be just an ordinary person.

While they patrolled, they suddenly heard a sound inside the cave. They listened carefully and heard an uncanny scream. They were puzzled by the commotion and rushed inside.

Skeeter was pushing Martha to the entrance to attract the guards' attention. He would then take the opportunity to slip away while no one was paying attention.

The patrolling members entered the place and saw Martha in a miserable state.
