Scarlet nodded obediently. Seeing that, Alton hardened his resolve and left.

Soon after that, Cosmo barged into the room. He held a dagger in his hand and wanted to cut this woman into pieces. He simply wanted to kill this woman when he asked for her earlier.

While Alton was away, Cosmo wanted to get it done.

Alton usually targeted ordinary women with little to no practice ability. As a practitioner, it was easy for Cosmo to kill someone.

In fact, he could have killed this woman by stealth, but to fake a scenario of the mistresses competing for favor and killing each other, he decided to use the crudest method.

Scarlet stared in disbelief at the man who suddenly barged in and quickly recognized him.

“I won’t kill you. You should go. Before my father returns, run as far as you can and never show up again.” In the end, Cosmo decided to let Scarlet leave.

Since Scarlet had revealed her tragic past, Cosmo decided to let her go without dwelling on it anymore.

Hearing that, Scarlet was taken aback by this sudden turn of events and felt there was more than met the eye.

She sighed and said, “Where should I go? To tell you the truth, I’m the only one left in my family, so your father brought me back. It’s good enough if he can support me.”

Scarlet laughed at herself. She was leaving an option for herself.

After using Alton to deal with Niffler, she wanted to get rid of Alton too. It was impossible to do it by herself, so she wanted to use this silly guy.

“I’ll be happy if you can provide me with a place to live.” She said.

Cosmo gave in at the sight of Scarlet’s gaze. He nodded and took her to his place.
