Lance was highly valued because of his ability, but he was not given a high position because of his frankness and inability to conceal his emotions.

“Yes, sir!” Everyone responded and ran out of the forest.

At first, Lance thought they were just dealing with some beasts that were a little stronger than average. However, it seemed he was grossly mistaken. He did not even recognize the beast, which proved how terrifying the situation was.

As they ran frantically, a wooden stick over five meters long attacked the beast’s eyes. The beast was huge and not very agile, so it could hardly react to a sudden attack.

The wooden stick attacked the beast’s eyes. It closed its eyes in time and blocked the attack, but this action infuriated the beast.

The beast roared angrily as if it was going to tear everyone apart.
