Chapter - 5289

When Lyle was down and out, he bought two buns. Coincidentally, he met an old man who could not afford to eat too.

Lyle could not bear it and gave him a bun.

The old man was grateful for his gesture and gave him a package in return. The package contained one set of materials and a book related to pill-making.

Lyle was very lucky to have received the book and embarked on the path of an alchemist. His luck and talent were something most people could only dream of.

Philip read the book through his memory and discovered that it was junk.

Although there was not much problem with its contents, the final result would end up in a disaster over time. Fortunately, Lyle met him in time and stopped it from happening. Otherwise, Lyle would have ended up a pill-making demon.

Philip cleared Lyle’s memory and restored his clarity.

Lyle shook his head vigorously, feeling a little empty. “Philip, I feel like my mind is a lot clearer. All my pill-making knowledge is gone!”

Lyle had never experienced this before and thought it was amazing. He kept patting his head as if trying to restore his memory.

Smiling, Philip said, “If the pill didn’t work, I wouldn‘t be standing here right now.”

Philip once again tapped Lyle’s head with his hand. This time, he passed on some basic skills and content about pill-making.

All of a sudden, Lyle felt like his mind was full to the brim. He kept absorbing the knowledge and felt overloaded.

When he grimaced in pain, Philip quickly stuffed a pill into Lyle’s mouth to tide him over.

“Don’t die on me.” Philip did not think he had passed on too much information. It was just some basics.

He had used the same method on the other kids, which was how they easily mastered the pill-making method.

However, Philip had forgotten one very important detail. Lyle had not gone through a physical reconstruction.

The kids at home had already gone through a physical transformation over time before they could accept the information he passed to them.

Although Lyle’s physical fitness was pretty good, he was far from the kids under Philip’s command. Therefore, Lyle was simply relying on himself to hang on.

“Keep it up. You have to hang on. At least if you make it, you can criticize Philip for not strengthening you first,” Aslan cheered for Lyle while taunting Philip in the process.

It was a rare occasion that the reliable Philip would make such a mistake.

Hearing this, Philip looked embarrassed. He knew that he was in the wrong.
