Chapter - 5300

A trace of dissatisfaction flashed across Fernand’s face. He worked so hard to catch Philip, but before he could torment him properly, an interceptor appeared and wanted to steal his prey.

However, Fernand could not go against Chaplin’s wishes.

“Sure, I’ll leave this place to you…” Fernand left the basement with a smile on his face, but there was reluctance and resentment in his eyes.

No one could accept their prey slipping through their fingers!

Only Philip and his gang remained in the basement with Chaplin.

“Hehe, you probably never expected to fall into my hands,” Chaplin said smugly.

He provided the drug that knocked Philip out, so he knew exactly how bad Philip’s current condition was.

Chaplin walked up to Philip with his nose in the air. He then glanced at the struggling Lyle and the girl beside him unhappily.

“You two dared to join Philip in front of me. Haha, do you really think Philip is that powerful? If that’s the case, you guys wouldn’t be here right now,” Chaplin said gloatingly.

Before he could continue, his communication token rang.

Chaplin picked up the call and heard the other party’s voice.

“A new mission has been updated on the Imperial List. Do you want to take a look, Teacher?” A young man’s voice came from the communication token as if he was making a report.

Everyone fell silent and perked up their ears to listen.

Poppy and Lyle showed no interest. They had been living in Imperial City and knew all about the Imperial List.

“Teacher, if you want to take part, you have to hurry with the registration! There’s a mission into the mountains that’s apparently related to some ancient ruins. I don’t know if it’s true, but the party will set off tomorrow,” the young man said solemnly.

Everyone was interested upon hearing that. Even Lyle, who was not bothered about the mission on the Imperial List, glanced at Chaplin curiously.

Lyle had always acted alone, so he had never taken part in any missions. Now that he had joined a force, he had nothing to fear, so he wanted to give it a try.

Who could resist the temptation of ancient ruins?

It was a chance to become stronger.

Ancient ruins contained various treasures and opportunities, maybe even the legendary key to another continent.

There was a legend in the Guzo Continent that a key to another continent could be found in ancient ruins. Back then, some powerhouses felt that the gap between the two continents was too big, so they separated the two continents by force.

It was done to protect the people of the Guzo Continent.

They had to find the key to open the connection between the two continents. Many practitioners felt that they were strong enough to explore that continent now. After all, resources on the Guzo Continent were limited and insufficient by now.

Maybe they could get more resources once they entered that legendary continent.
