Chapter - 5337

After Philip left, Mr. Lindell pulled the two kids over and asked them about recent events.

“What happened during my absence? Why do I feel like everything is so surreal?” Mr. Lindell was puzzled and had no idea what brought Philip here.

Lyle quickly told him everything. He knew that this person was Philip’s loyal subordinate. Otherwise, Philip would never develop him with such care.

While Lyle scrutinized Mr. Lindell, Mr. Lindell was no different and even had the idea of checking out his talent.

“Little one, your talent in alchemy must be quite good or Philip would’ve never accepted you as an apprentice. This teacher of mine has pretty high standards. In addition to character, he also values talent.”

His remarks were undoubtedly tooting his own horn too. Only he knew how he had begged Philip to accept him as an apprentice back then.

Lyle nodded and showed off his alchemy skills to Mr. Lindell.

Mr. Lindell was blown away by Lyle’s performance and felt that things had gone overboard.

Lyle’s talent and abilities were obviously not inferior to his, but he was too young and therefore had less experience. Lyle’s future development would be better than his.

Thinking of this, Mr. Lindell felt angry at his incompetence and even had the idea of going into seclusion again.

If Philip had not dragged him out by force and instructed him to take care of the two kids, he might have done so already. To keep a low profile, he claimed that he was a level-eight alchemist. In fact, he had far exceeded this level.

The alchemists trained by Philip were not classified in this way. The high-level alchemists in this world were not worth mentioning in Philip’s opinion.

Mr. Lindell soon announced his return without hiding it. His objective was to tell the people eyeing his position that he was making a grand comeback.

They could forget about replacing his position. Of course, these people were led by Chaplin.

Although there was a gap between Chaplin and Mr. Lindell, that did not stop Chaplin’s ambitions. He could do whatever he wanted once he defeated Mr. Lindell. After all, there were only four level-five alchemists on this continent.

Since the others were in recluse, Chaplin’s status was the highest.

“Kids, let’s deal with Chaplin next. That guy is very arrogant. I didn’t want to do anything to him before because of my status, but I changed my mind!” Now that he had the skills to back him up, Mr. Lindell decided to get rid of all obstacles in his way.
