Chapter - 5901

After hundreds of Cavalry Guards departed from the Nigerian garrison, Victor Steel also set off in a car, accompanied by Leo Grant.

However, Victor chose to drive in the opposite direction of the Cavalry Guards, steering towards Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

The reason for his journey to Abuja was that Victor Steel suspected the Cavalry Guards were now revealing their intentions and had likely been compromised. He intended to make use of the distraction created by the Cavalry Guards to divert attention and take a safer route from Abuja to Morocco.

Yet, Victor was completely unaware that from the moment he left the oil field, his vehicle had been monitored by a network of surveillance machines, placing him within the scope of AI's critical oversight.

The drive from the oil field to Abuja took at least six to seven hours. By the time he arrived, morning had already broken. Victor Steel began arranging for the emergency evacuation of the Right Army Governor's Office during the trip.

Following standard procedures at the Governor's Office, there must be one main garrison along with two backups. This allows for a rapid switch to a backup garrison in case of emergencies.

Not every member of the Right Army Governor's Office was privy to the locations of these backup bases. The individuals who knew were primarily the true high-ranking officials and trusted aides, essentially the inner circle of the Mirren family.

Even Leo Grant was unaware of the locations of the two backup bases.

This strict confidentiality was maintained to prevent any internal security issues.

Currently, the backup bases for the Right Army Governor's Office were situated in Spain and Lithuania, with the former being near the Strait of Gibraltar and the latter located in the heart of the Baltic Sea.

Once an emergency rotation is initiated, all operations at the Right Army Governor's Office would be halted, and senior officials aware of the backup locations would organize an immediate evacuation without disclosing the destination or route until arriving at the new base.

Victor Steel glanced at a map and decided to relocate the Right Army Governor's Office to Lithuania, believing it to be the safest option due to its distance from Morocco. Conversely, Spain was only an hour away from Casablanca by speedboat, posing a significant risk.

However, upon further reflection, he doubted whether choosing Lithuania was wise. If he reported to the British Lord, it would be evident why he favored Lithuania.

Reluctantly, he opted against Lithuania and informed the confidants of the Mirren family to prepare for a swift relocation of the entire Right Army Governor's Office to Spain.

Simultaneously, Aemon reported Victor Steel's decision to Morgana, stating, "Lord Mirren, Victor has decided to go to Morocco to redeem himself and vowed to uncover clues about the enemy."

Morgana raised an eyebrow and replied, "Since he has left, instruct the Three Elders to prepare and set out for Morocco tomorrow."

Aemon was puzzled: "Lord Mirren, didn't you ask the Three Elders to remain in Nigeria for updates? Why send them out now?"

Morgana explained, "A few hundred Cavalry Guards and Tiger Guards may not be enough to draw their attention. The enemy just achieved a victory over us in Morocco. They wouldn't expend resources to pursue minor targets. But if they knew Victor Steel was present—being the Governor of the Right Army Commander’s Office—they might act recklessly. Sending the Three Elders to follow him discreetly not only provides a chance for a decisive strike against the enemy, but also ensures Victor Steel's safety."

Aemon understood that the Lord intended to use Victor Steel as bait. Given the enemy's recent victory, they were likely not interested in engaging unless presented with a valuable target. Thus, Victor Steel was indeed an ideal lure.

Furthermore, with the Three Elders discreetly protecting him, Victor Steel should be safe, prompting Aemon to affirm, "Lord, your strategy is brilliant! I will relay your order to the Three Elders immediately!"

When Victor Steel arrived at Abuja Airport, he was oblivious to the fact that the vehicle he was in had already come under the surveillance of numerous monitoring machines at the airport.

In order to expedite his journey to Casablanca, Victor had arranged in advance for a business jet to be on standby at Abuja Airport. By the time he reached the airport, morning light had arrived. He exited the car and, along with Leo Grant, proceeded directly through the VIP channel to the VIP terminal for security checks.

At that moment, Abuja Airport was lined with surveillance machines—every thirty meters, at the very least.

The surveillance systems in these machines employed wide-angle, ultra-high-definition lenses with a near-complete 180-degree field of view. Positioned against the walls, they left no area unmonitored, ensuring that Victor Steel was tracked from the moment he stepped out of the car to when he reached the boarding gate.

Meanwhile, Charlie and his team reached the food factory shortly before dawn.

Jack and the other Cavalry Guards and death warriors had been waiting there for quite some time.

Upon seeing Jack, Charlie asked, "Inspector Lee, has everything gone smoothly here?"

"Everything’s going well!" Jack replied. "Mr. Wade, these dead soldiers and Cavalry Guards are exceptionally disciplined. There’s complete silence coming from outside, and we’ve noticed no signs of trouble. I’ve stationed secret sentries around the area, and no suspicious individuals have approached."

"Great," Charlie acknowledged. "We’ll begin evacuation efforts tonight. To minimize complications, we aim to get everyone out of Morocco within five days."

Jack noted, "Five days should be manageable, but Mr. Wade, AI just issued an early warning. It identified two suspicious individuals traveling from the Nigerian base to Abuja who then boarded a business jet headed for Casablanca."

Charlie inquired, intrigued, "Don’t the Nigerian Cavalry Guards typically fly directly from Lagos to Casablanca? Why would these two take a longer route? Unless they’re trying to avoid detection?"

Jack nodded in agreement. "That’s my theory."

He pulled out his mobile phone and displayed high-definition facial images of Victor Steel and Leo Grant taken at Abuja Airport, saying, "Take a look; these are the two individuals."

Charlie examined the images and then handed the phone to Tara, who was nearby, asking, "Miss Decker, do you recognize these two?"

Tara studied the photos closely and exclaimed with surprise, "These… these two are the Governor and Lieutenant General Grant of the Right Army Commander's Office..."

Charlie's interest heightened at the mention of the Governor, "Please share more details."

Tara pointed to Victor Steel in the photo and elaborated, "This is Governor Victor Steel, and the other is Lieutenant General Leo Grant from the Right Army Commander's Office. Leo Grant is the Governor's trusted aide."

Charlie replied, surprised, "Governor Steel has come to Morocco in person. It seems he intends to oversee the operations firsthand."

Tara added, "Given the disturbance caused by Mr. Wade, the Governor will likely face consequences. By being here to supervise, he’s also demonstrating his loyalty to the Lord."

Charlie nodded thoughtfully while reviewing some other images selected by AI, suddenly noticing, "It's odd; why is this person’s left hand always concealed in his sleeve?"
