Chapter - 6021

Although they were dissatisfied, they all recognized a fundamental truth: as long as they had access to Charlie and were prepared to face challenges, they would be alright. After all, it would be a waste of resources to ignore him and invite disaster.

Everyone agreed, particularly Hank, who gritted his teeth and forced a smile as he said, "Mr. Wade is absolutely correct—there's no such thing as a free meal. You must pay what you owe...”

Charlie was pleased with this attitude and replied with a smile, "Hank, you've really made significant progress!"

Hank returned the smile, saying, "Thank you, Mr. Wade, for your kind words..."

Charlie was aware that Hank's gratitude stemmed not from genuine feelings but from pressure.

Realizing that these individuals were under his thumb, Charlie decided to extend his hand in a way that would ensure their continued compliance. He addressed Hank, saying, "Hank, you're quite perceptive regarding the current situation, and in this group of class representatives, I'll give you some unsolicited advice: consider this bento as a reward for your role."

Hank quickly responded, "Mr. Wade, I'm all ears."

Charlie continued, "Once you're back in the United States, I recommend you visit a hospital for a pancreatic check-up as soon as possible. While there are no symptoms yet, it appears to be spreading to surrounding areas."

Hank waved his hand dismissively, smiling as he replied, "I just had a complete medical examination three months ago, including a full-body cancer screening. My personal doctor confirmed that I was in good health and that all my tumor markers were normal."

Charlie smiled knowingly and replied, "The pancreatic head is somewhat concealed, and when issues arise, they can escalate quickly. Three months is ample time for complications to develop. I know someone who had pancreatic cancer and, despite being wealthier than you, he couldn’t escape its grip. It's best to get checked; it won’t hurt you."

Charlie's serious tone made Hank feel a pang of apprehension.

He couldn’t quite grasp Charlie's abilities, but it was clear he had a remarkable talent for making others feel uneasy with just a few words. Hank surmised that Charlie possessed extraordinary gifts.

Thus, he quickly responded respectably, "Thank you for your advice, Mr. Wade. I will ensure to get checked right away!"

Charlie nodded. The energy within him was the purest form of life itself. Not only could it heal ailments, but it also was keenly sensitive to various health issues—like a radar. Recently, his abilities had been sharpening. For him, there was no need to delve into Hank's body to detect issues; the cancerous formations were as stark as an ink blot on a piece of white paper.

Initially, Charlie had no desire to concern himself with the fates of these untrustworthy individuals, but since Hank was showing some willingness to comply, Charlie decided to offer him a bit of assistance to secure his future cooperation.

So he told Hank, "Once you have your check-up, I wouldn't advise you to seek treatment in the United States. You should come to China next time; I'll help you with the cure."

Hank felt a mix of confusion and apprehension, questioning the validity of Charlie's claim, yet he felt an inexplicable worry creeping in.

Deep down, he realized this was a matter pertaining to his health, and he would rather place his trust in Charlie’s assertions than ignore them.

He immediately stood up, inclined his body slightly towards Charlie, and said with respect, "Thank you, Mr. Wade."

He then added hastily, "Mr. Wade, if you don’t have any further instructions for the next couple of days, I plan to head back tonight. Is that acceptable?"

"Not an issue," Charlie replied, nodding. "Go back, prepare some funds, and return in a few days."

"Understood!" Hank exhaled in relief, quickly retrieving his cellphone to send a message to his assistant, arranging for the private jet to be ready for takeoff, so he could return to the United States overnight.

Charlie then rose and addressed the group, "You all should head back together. Assess your situations and plan to return to Aurous Hill within a week."

After saying this, he pointed to Matt Finkelstein, saying, "Matt, you will coordinate with these individuals. If anyone fails to return within the week, report it to Steve immediately."

Matt Finkelstein stood up straight and replied, "No problem, Mr. Wade. I'll keep tabs on them."

Charlie nodded and then turned to Tawanna. "Miss Sweet, make sure you rest well tomorrow and get ready for the next two concerts."

Tawanna quickly asked, "Mr. Wade, would it be possible for you to have a meal with Mrs. Wade?"

Charlie waved his hand dismissively, saying, "Let that go for now; focus on resting. We can discuss meals later."

Tawanna felt a hint of disappointment but nodded respectfully, saying, "Alright, Mr. Wade."

Charlie then addressed Steve, "Steve, I appreciate your handling of these troublesome matters."

Steve immediately responded, "Mr. Wade, you honor me with your words. This is my duty! I will be in Aurous Hill for an extended period, so we must engage more frequently!"

Charlie smiled, saying, "Just keep in touch."

After glancing at the time, he continued, "Well, everyone, it's getting late. I'll take my leave now. Until next time."

...

That night, a private plane departed from Aurous Hill, heading straight to the United States.

While on the plane, Hank made an appointment with his private doctor, yet he was not as privileged as the Rothschild or Joules families, lacking his own private general hospital. As such, he could only secure an appointment with leading hospitals in America through his private doctor.

Even without his own facility, his willingness to pay nearly a hundred times the market rate prompted the top hospital to quickly coordinate and prepare his examination resources by the time he arrived.

By the time his plane landed in New York, it was late at night. Due to his hefty payment of millions in examination fees, all doctors were on standby, ready to assist Hank promptly upon his arrival.

Hank had also undergone tests at this very hospital three months prior. Wealthy individuals like him typically underwent physical check-ups every six months, often utilizing the hospital’s VIP services. On the day of his exam, all departments would reserve specific times solely for him, allowing him an expedited process, often checking in the night before in luxury wards, avoiding the need for early morning arrivals.

However, this time, his anxiety plagued him, and he was not willing to wait until morning for his examination; he took a direct route to the hospital upon landing.

When his private doctor saw him, he expressed surprise, "Sir, your physical examination results from three months ago came back normal. Why the sudden urgency for another test?"

Hank blurted out, "I need a comprehensive cancer screening, particularly for the pancreas. Someone mentioned that there might be an issue with it."

"This…" the doctor hesitated, "This seems a bit far-fetched. The last time, I paid close attention to your pancreas and found no problems."

Hank waved dismissively, "Forget about what happened three months ago; a lot can happen in that time! Do you even know what I've been through in the last three days? It's unbelievable, I can assure you!"

With that, he firmly commanded, "Get the tests done immediately; don't waste another minute!"
