Chapter - 6029

Charlie's words felt like a wake-up call, causing Hank to cry without shedding any tears.

He hadn't anticipated that Charlie would be waiting for him here; he truly believed that Charlie could completely save him and offer him a chance to serve loyally by his side.

However, now Charlie had to choose between one of his abilities to live or pursue that aspect of his life.

Hank was unwilling to make any of these choices.

Desperately, he pleaded, "Mr. Wade, please give me a chance to start anew and become a better person. I want to work hard alongside you; I don’t want to be someone who lacks the ability to change and is consumed by despair. That would just be a waste. Even though I can survive, it would likely be hard for me to create any real value..."

As he spoke, Hank added, "And didn’t you say that this was a reward for me as a class representative? Why are you asking me to make a choice again now?"

Charlie smiled and replied, "You really have a lot of questions. Have you ever thought about what reward I will truly offer you?"

Hank blurted out, "It must be a solution to my pancreatic cancer..."

"No, no, no." Charlie shook his head. "The reward I give you is the awareness that there's an issue with your pancreas, so you don't discover it too late and miss the best treatment window. Reminders, treatments, and cures are three different things. It's like when you go to a hospital: they can diagnose pancreatic cancer, but they aren't obligated to treat you unless you can afford it or have comprehensive medical insurance. Even if they do treat you, they can't guarantee a cure, right?"

Hank looked stunned.

Even though he understood that Charlie was playing with his mind, he recognized that Charlie was being truthful.

No matter how advanced a tumor hospital may be, curing pancreatic cancer is an impossibility.

He recalled the dozen so-called brothers and asked again, "Mr. Wade, if others pay the full amount, will you help them regain their abilities in that area?"

"Of course," Charlie replied calmly. "I am a person of my word. If they pay, I will definitely restore them to their former selves."

Hank, with a sorrowful expression, exclaimed, "Ah?! Doesn't that just leave me as the only one without any abilities?! Mr. Wade, I'm their leader and their source of inspiration. If I lose that ability, they'll have no one to guide them. It would be better for all of them to be as I am!"

Charlie smiled and replied, "Then there isn't anything I can do. They haven’t contracted pancreatic cancer. I said I keep my promises; as long as they pay, I will resolve their issues."

At that moment, a knock sounded at the door of the private room, and Don Albert respectfully announced from outside, "Master Wade, Miss Sweet has arrived."

Charlie casually replied, "Let her in."

Don Albert opened the door, and as soon as Tawanna walked in, she was surprised to find Hank, who had just left the previous night, back again.

Noticing Hank kneeling with teary eyes, she quickly surmised the reason: it must be due to Charlie’s judgment on his pancreatic cancer.

She didn’t allow Hank to distract her and said respectfully to Charlie, "Mr. Wade, I'm in the diamond box dining with key team members. I heard you were here, so I decided to come and see you. I hope my presence hasn’t disturbed you at all."

Charlie waved his hand, smiling, "Why are you being so polite? If you're not in a rush to leave, just find a seat and sit for a bit."

"Alright," Tawanna said, eager to witness Hank's display of desperation, and she chose a seat near the door.

At this point, Don Albert politely interjected, "Miss Sweet, please wait; I’ll bring you new tableware."

Tawanna nodded in gratitude, and Don Albert exited the room.

Hank was taken aback; while he was kneeling and pleading with Charlie, Tawanna had come in, seemingly complicating matters.

Yet, he dared not show any dissatisfaction, so he continued to plead, "Mr. Wade, please give me one more chance!"

Charlie smiled and said, "You said you’d work hard for me. These are all future matters. If I were you, I wouldn’t want to take on both now. I would focus on choosing one thing first to uphold the basics and then work hard to achieve another goal later."

Hank wanted to continue begging but realized that Charlie's decisions weren’t swayed by others.

It was futile to plead unless he was prepared to accept Charlie's terms.

Thus, the best course of action was to quickly agree to Charlie's conditions, prepare the 1 billion dollars, and then let Charlie cure his pancreatic cancer. As long as that was resolved, as Charlie said, the rest could be negotiated for the future.

He immediately responded respectfully, "What you taught me, Mr. Wade, makes sense. By tomorrow night, I will prepare 1 billion dollars in cryptocurrency and hand it over to Matt! I hope Mr. Wade will be able to cure the issues with my pancreas then!”

Charlie nodded, appreciating his attitude: "This is the right approach to seeking help."

Hank humbly replied, "It's all thanks to your guidance, Mr. Wade..."

Charlie said, "Now go back and prepare. Once the money is ready, we will meet here tomorrow night. Then I will help you address your pancreatic issue."

Hank was overjoyed and exclaimed, "Thank you, Mr. Wade! Thank you so much, Mr. Wade!"

He turned to Matt Finkelstein, saying, "Matt, please inform me as soon as Hank's funds are secured."

"Of course, Mr. Wade!" Matt replied respectfully.

Hank nervously asked Charlie, "Mr. Wade, may I ask you a question?"

Charlie waved his hand nonchalantly, "Go ahead; why play polite?"

Hank asked hesitantly, "Then Mr. Wade, will you help treat or cure me tomorrow night?"

He was fearful that Charlie might toy with him further.

If he paid the money, bowed his head, and admitted his mistakes, and Charlie responded by saying: I treated you, but it wasn't cured—wouldn't that be devastating?

Noticing Hank's apprehension, Charlie smiled gently: "What I just explained was about a typical hospital. For me, there are only two steps: recognizing a problem and solving it. There’s no issue that cannot be resolved. Don’t worry; I will certainly help you completely eliminate your pancreatic cancer tonight."

He added with a smile, "By the way, I suggest you arrange for your private jet in advance. Just like the day before yesterday, you should be able to head straight to the airport and fly back to the United States right after dinner. Furthermore, I recommend that once you arrive, you reconnect with the hospitals in the U.S. After landing, you should undergo a new examination, and then you'll know if your pancreatic cancer has been cured!"

Hank couldn’t help but think, as Mr. Wade advised, it would be best to fly back to the United States tomorrow evening. It truly felt like an opportunity for a little adventure.
