Chapter - 3047

Haydn immediately declared, “I am willing to obey your orders."

News of the new Great Marshal challenging the former Great Marshal to a duel quickly spread to every corner of Eurasia.

The matter even garnered international attention.

The showdown between the current and former Great Marshals consistently dominated the daily trending topics, capturing everyone's undivided attention.

It was uncertain whether the new Great Marshal would triumph or if the former Great Marshal would make a comeback.

Numerous professional martial arts institutions analyzed that the odds of victory for the new Great Marshal this time were not only high but significantly in his favor, with estimates of success ranging from eighty to ninety percent.

This deduction was based on their assessment that the current Great Marshal's strength ranked among the top-tier within the Celestial Class, while the former Great Marshal, at the time of his disappearance, had at most just entered the Celestial Class.

When pitting a top-tier warrior against a novice martial artist, it was glaringly obvious who would emerge as the winner.

Naturally, it was expected that the casinos would be involved in this major competition.

Professional agencies calculated that ninety percent of people worldwide had placed their bets on Haydn, with less than ten percent betting on Zeke.

Zeke accepted this challenge without hesitation.

He was now considered one of the top powerhouses in Sun and Moon Class.

Hence, dealing with a warrior from Celestial Class was a walk in the park for him.

His only regret, however, was that he hadn't yet managed to capture Haydn.

However, he wasn't about to give up. and had instructed the Nightingale Squad to conduct a nationwide search for any trace of Haydn.

After ensuring Missy and Lacey were settled, Zeke brought Sole Wolf and Killer Wolf to meet up with Siete, Squirrel, and the rest of the group.

He might need their help in eradicating Haydn and his army this time.

Upon reaching the location where Siete and Squirrel were residing, Zeke could already hear a cacophony emanating from their room.

"One pair."

"Pass."

"Two pairs."

"Pass."

"My turn! Flush!"

"Haha, so what? Straight flush!"

Zeke was at a loss of words.

Are they playing poker? I was worried they might not be able to adapt to human life. Looks like I was worried for nothing.

He pushed the door open and strutted in with great swagger to see that Siete, Squirrel, Nancy, and Dawn were indeed engaged in a game of poker.

Siete and Squirrel had their faces covered in white strips of paper, their appearances somewhat disheveled. It appeared that they had experienced a significant loss.

However, the two were not at all disheartened. Instead, they continued hollering and taunting, pledging to win the next round.

The four merely glanced at Zeke when he walked in before resuming their game.

All of a sudden, Zeke regretted letting Nancy and Dawn stay with Siete and Squirrel.

Smiling wryly, he said, "It's time for lunch. Stop playing."

Siete said, "Three of a kind. We'll eat later. I'm not hungry yet."

"D*mn it, what kind of card did I draw?"

"Straight flush," said Dawn.

Siete cursed, "F*ck! You had a straight flush in the last round! How come you still have it this round? Are you cheating?"

Squirrel squeaked, calling Dawn a cheater as well.

Dawn said impatiently, "You guys can't be sore losers. It's no fun if you guys act like this. Are we going to continue playing or not?"

Zeke spoke up. "Guys, it's time for dinner. Hurry up and eat. I have a task to assign to you guys once you're done."

Siete uttered, "Get lost. I'm in a bad mood. Pass."

"P-Pass..." Instead of squeaking, Squirrel actually spoke human language this time.

Although it was somewhat vague, one could still make out the word "Pass."

Zeke was astonished. He hadn't anticipated that a game of poker would bring about such a result.

Just as Zeke was about to forcibly take their playing cards from them, the song of a nightingale suddenly echoed from outside the door, its notes sounding clear and urgent.

Zeke said solemnly, "Come in."

No sooner were the words spoken than the window was abruptly thrust open, and a figure barged in from outside.
