Chapter - 3610

She was taken aback.

She was well aware of Zeke's formidable strength, but she couldn't help but wonder if it was enough to contend with someone of the Eternal Class.

He'll probably be discovered soon.

"Zeke, don't take unnecessary risks," Vela cautioned. "Let's not follow him. We have no up his sleeve. idea what tricks he might have If we're discovered, it could end badly."

Zeke nodded, his brow furrowing in thought. He was tempted to follow, confident that he had a few techniques that might keep him hidden from the Emerald Sword God.

However, the unpredictability of such a powerful figure made him hesitate. There was no telling what other methods the Emerald Sword God possessed, and the risk was too great to ignore.

It would be disastrous if he were discovered.

"You're right. Forget it," Zeke agreed, nodding at Vela's advice.

The two set off in the opposite direction of the Emerald Sword God, resuming their search for Ruth. The Ancient Graveyard stretched endlessly before them, and before they knew it, another day had slipped by.

Despite their efforts, they still couldn't locate the forbidden grounds of the Reincarnation Immortal. Yet, Zeke felt a growing certainty deep within-perhaps the forbidden grounds lay hidden beneath their feet.

Pausing for another rest, Vela grew weary, a trace of fatigue evident in her usually bright eyes.

"Let's take a break, Zeke. I need some rest," she said softly.

They were perched atop a mountain, with the sky slowly dimming around them. A gentle breeze stirred, kicking up small swirls of dust from the ground. The beauty of the dusk was mesmerizing.

Zeke stopped alongside her and sat down on a large rock. Gazing at the peaceful, darkening

sky and the fading sun, he felt his mood gradually ease, slipping into a state of calm tranquility.

Surprisingly, the central area of the Ancient Graveyard didn't pose much danger. Despite the many lurking perils, Zeke's formidable strength allowed him to protect them both. After masking their presence, he and Vela managed to avoid most threats.

As he settled into a calm state, Zeke's gaze unintentionally drifted toward Vela. Her skin was pale and smooth like fresh snow, glowing with a beauty that took his breath away. Her delicate profile, framed by soft shadows, held a captivating allure. Her red lips curved into a smile that seemed to stir something deep within him as she gazed at the desolate landscape.

"Even though this is a graveyard, it has a kind of rare beauty," Vela said softly, her voice as melodious as a nightingale. "Desolate yet strangely captivating."

Taking a deep breath of the sandy air, Zeke followed Vela's gaze into the distance.

"Indeed," he mused. "It's not every day I get topause and appreciate the beauty around I've witnessed many grand, majestic sights in the past, but I often find it hard to quiet my mind and truly take them in. As a result, I missed out on so much. Imagine how breathtaking this land must have been during the glory of ancient times. Now, all that remains is desolation and dusk."

"I don't know," Vela said, shaking her head with an innocent expression. Her voice was soft as she continued, "All I know is that the world is full of conflict. Wherever there are people, there's always strife. Unity seems like such a distant dream. If there had been no conflicts in ancient times, perhaps their era wouldn't have ended. If people were kind and harmonious, helping one another, maybe there wouldn't have been so much bloodshed."

Zeke took a deep breath at her words, reflecting on their truth. Vela's right. But when caught in the eye of the storm, who can remain untouched?

In the end, it all boiled down to the rules of the world-survival of the fittest, the pursuit of power, and the fulfillment of one's desires. Only the strong can protect the ones they.hold dear.

He slowly rose to his feet, closing his eyes as a wave of emotion rippled through him, shattering the calm that once anchored his heart. When he opened them again, the peace in his gaze had vanished, replaced by a quiet resolve. There were too many pressing matters demanding his attention, too many goals still unachieved.

As he turned toward Vela, his lips curled into a tender smile. "Vela, the truth is, the most beautiful thing here isn't the Ancient Graveyard, but you. You're not only beautiful on the outside but also in spirit."

Pointing toward the distant horizon, he continued, "Let's go. We need to rescue Vesper and find our path to a breakthrough. Once we've gained enough power, we can protect Eurasia."

With renewed determination, the two set off once more.
