Chapter - 3611

After half a day, there were finally some clues.

They found torn pieces of a teddy bear on the ground.

"I... gave her this toy." Vela picked up the torn teddy bear from the ground and slightly furrowed her eyebrows.

Zeke also took a glance, releasing his spiritual consciousness to scan the teddy bear.

"Several days had passed. It seems the teddy bear had been abandoned for a few days."

Zeke's eyes flickered slightly.

Finding the teddy bear was a significant clue.

Ruth probably wouldn't venture too far for the next two or three days.

"Vela..." Suddenly, Zeke broke into a mysterious smile while glancing at Vela.

"Yes?" Vela asked, looking at Zeke with curiosity. Her large eyes made her appear adorable.

Zeke chuckled, then asked, "Vela, do you trust your intuition and judgment?"

"Are you referring to the sixth sense?" Vela smiled gently.

"Yes, I trust my sixth sense," Vela replied.

"Good." Zeke nodded. “Lead the way. We can't just wander around."

"Ruth must have gone far by now, leaving no trace. We can only rely on your sixth sense to guide us."

I see. A hint of intrigue flickered in Vela's beautiful eyes. She then calmly pointed in a direction.

"Maybe... we should head in this direction?"

"All right!" Without any hesitation, Zeke immediately held Vela and flew in that direction.

After flying for half a day, Zeke narrowed his eyes.

He stopped and landed on the ground.

"I found a new clue." Zeke looked down and saw the remains of a cultivator from ancient times.

A faint dark aura surrounded the remains.

Zeke spread his spiritual consciousness, moving toward the dark aura. A subtle change crossed Zeke's face.

The dark aura was similar to Ruth's. It might be hers.

She might have stayed here for a while.

When Zeke was hesitant, he suddenly heard a singing voice.

It was identical to the voice he had heard in the Ancient Graveyard.

It was Ruth's voice.

As Zeke followed the voice, he spotted Ruth, the little girl with bright crimson eyes.

She was still clutching the one-eyed teddy bear.

Zeke flashed a hint of a smile, clasping his hands toward Ruth.

"Ruth, we're here to help you."

Humming a tune, Ruth had noticed Zeke earlier. She continued humming while walking toward him.

She didn't spare another glance at Zeke. Instead, she playfully stuck her tongue out at Vela.

Then, she reached out her hand toward Vela.

"Do you still have more toys?" Ruth asked.

Vela was a bit surprised and cautiously took cover behind Zeke.

"Zeke, she..."

"Don't be afraid." Zeke slightly furrowed his brows as his spiritual energy began to flow.

He glanced at Vela, offering her a comforting smile. "I came prepared this time," he assured her. "Ruth doesn't look innocent. She's not asking you for toys."

Zeke's words comforted Vela.

As Zeke had pointed out, Ruth was not naive. If one were to compare, Vela was more gullible than Ruth.

The scenes of Ruth tricking Zeke and the others were still fresh in Vela's memory.

Zeke looked at Ruth, took a deep breath, and said, "Ruth, I've been to the Worldly Palace and found out about your past. You're a spirit revived from ancient times. The daughter of the Reincarnation Immortal. Am I right?"

Zeke had planned to talk with Ruth. If it didn't work out, he would then reassess the situation.

However, it seemed his words had infuriated Ruth.

Suddenly, her body stiffened and began to tremble.

The terrifying red glow in her eyes grew increasingly radiant as if about to burst forth.

"Ah!" Ruth felt a lethal force was hitting her head.

In the next moment, she grasped her head in agony, tears mixed with blood streaming down her face. It was a terrifying sight.

She could no longer grasp the teddy bear, which fell to the ground.
